To understand how far agencies had come in nearly ten years of moving to the cloud, this Federal News Network executive briefing looked beyond numbers, savings, and governance to how agencies are impacting mission by understanding what belongs in the cloud, what should stay on-premise, and how the hybrid environment works best for the agency.
The briefing featured nine experts from across the federal government and industry. Amiad “Adam” Grandt-Nesher, Director of Infrastructure Optimization at the Centers of Excellence within GSA’s Technology Transformation Services, joined fellow speakers including the Chief Technology Officer of the Department of Justice, the CIO of the Securities and Exchange Commission, and leaders from CBP, USPS, the State Department, the National Science Foundation, Dell Technologies, and VMware. The conversation focused on how agencies put business first and build a set of standards to better control cloud creep and secure data.
